The moment you know that your best friend has found her person brings a warmth to your soul. Nicole is one of those friends you meet in college and the rest is history. We’ve owned a business together, been through the most exciting times of our lives with each other, experienced heart break and defeat side by side, and even shared a home with one another. She is one of those people who enters your heart, and will always have a permanent residence there. Although I know I hold that same space in hers, I’m elated that she’s welcomed Alan in her heart to stay, too.

Alan and Nicole met through a “mutual friend” [for a lack of better terms]. They didn’t have much time to date before they both moved on to spread their wings and chase their dreams in separate states. However, they knew. For two long years, they continued to get to know each other from hundreds of miles away. Their love grew stronger and stronger through the trials and tribulations that come with any distance. But like the old time saying states, distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. Today, they are finally reunited and learning how to share a home, let alone the same city. It’s been a blessing to watch their love nourish each other and grow.
