Kara + Mike | Mesa, AZ

Kara + Mike are the epitome of what balance in terms of love means; Two different people who equal each other out and are there for one another, no matter what. That concept became increasingly clear to me during my time spent with them. From Grand Rapids, to Mesa, these two (along with their pups) choose to enjoy life to the fullest and put their pleasure of nature, the outdoors, and sunshine at the top of their list. For their session, they took me to the Desert Botanical Gardens. Little did they know, my obsession for succulents and cacti runs deep through my veins. It was magical, and I’m pretty sure I said “I live here now” at least 10 times.

Taking their photos was a breeze because they treat each adventure as an opportunity to express their love for one another. Mike knows that Kara LOVES photos of them, so he did his best to make her extra giggly, ensuring to pull her in to show his tender adoration for her at times too. She is a natural in front of the camera with the glow of affection translating through the images.

In one short month, they will be back in Grand Rapids, to rehearse the timeline of their big day, in preparation of saying I do. I couldn’t be any more excited to spend the entire day getting to photograph their special connection.
